“The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury comparison

"The Veldt" by Ray Bradbury VS "The Veldt" By DEADMAU5

“The Veldt” by DEADMAU5 plays off the same storyline and the same theme as “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury. In the song it shows what the children are seeing and feeling. In addition, this song allows the audience to see how dependant they are on technology that they have replaced their parents with machines  “Every night they rock us to sleep, digital family!”
Both stories show how technology is very misleading and can make you believe in the “machines” rather than reality. “The Veldt” By DEADMAU5 portrays technology as deceptive because it takes them away from reality and makes them think that the machines are looking out for them  when in reality its what “machines”  are programmed
to do. “Happy life with the machines scattered around the room.
Look what they made; they made it for me”
“The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury shows the story in the parent’s point of view and it also supports the idea that the kids have become so attached to technology it has caused them to be desensitized. The parents are very unaware at how attached the kids have become to the technology. The mother Lidya starts to feel like the technology in the house is taking her place because the house is starting to act as “ wife and mother now, and nursemaid” and she starts to question weather or not she “ can compete with an African veldt” .At the time that the parents decided to “unplug the house” it was to late.
